The survey polled 400 business leaders, defined as logistics or operational managers and decision-makers who make decisions about optimization in their line-of-business. Of the business leaders surveyed who have implemented quantum optimization or plan to do so within the next two years, 46% expect return on investment (ROI) between $1 and $5 million within a year, while 27% anticipate an ROI exceeding $5 million within that time.
The report highlights that 81% of respondents believe that they have reached the limits of benefits they can achieve from optimization on classical computers, with 53% planning to adopt quantum in workflows. Key target areas include supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing. CEO Dr. Alan Baratz said the survey results underscore the immediate business relevance of annealing quantum solutions.
