YouTube is experimenting with a fresh tool designed to let Premium subscribers gift ad-free viewing to non-members. Currently available in select regions, this trial allows regular users to enjoy shared videos without ads, aiming to highlight the perks of a Premium membership.
How it Works
Premium account holders can distribute up to 10 ad-free video links monthly. Each link permits up to 10 views total—whether one person replays it 10 times or 10 people watch once. After hitting the cap, ads will reappear.

What Can’t Be Shared?
Certain content remains excluded, such as music videos, YouTube Original series, Short-form clips (Shorts), live broadcasts, movies or TV shows.
Recipients must sign in to their YouTube accounts to view without ads. Links expire after 30 days or 10 views—whichever comes first. Expired links display an error message.
Where is this Available?
The test is live for limited Premium users in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, and the UK.
YouTube may expand the feature based on feedback. While unconfirmed as a permanent addition, the trial aligns with other Premium upgrades, like tailored video suggestions during playback, showing YouTube’s focus on enhancing subscriber benefits.
